It will be more expensive in Austria in 2025: the vignette prices have risen, and for some time now significantly more vehicles have been required to use the Go toll box.

Vignettes for vehicles under 3.5 t significantly more expensive
Austria has raised vignette prices this year. The annual vignette has exceeded the 100 euro mark for the first time, and the stickers with shorter validity periods have also become more expensive.
For motorhomes < 3.5 tons, caravans and cars, the freeway vignette will cost in 2025:
Validity | Price |
1-day vignette | 9,30 Euro |
10-day vignette | 12,40 Euro |
2-month vignette | 31,10 Euro |
Annual vignette | 103,80 Euro |
The toll costs for towing vehicles and motorhomes with a technically permissible maximum mass (tzGm) of more than 3.5 tons will continue to be calculated according to the number of kilometers driven, the number of axles and the emission class and will be calculated and paid using a toll box – the Go-Box.
New calculation of the weight limit for motorhomes and caravans
As already mentioned, in Austria the technically permissible total mass is used as the basis for calculating the toll, not the permissible total weight of the car, motorhome or caravan – and this has been the case since December 2023.

This means that more vehicles are subject to the Go-Box toll, as the technically permissible total mass specified by the manufacturer – i.e. the mass that your motorhome could theoretically carry – is often higher.
For your motorhome, you will find the details in the registration certificate part I (vehicle registration document) in field F1 for the technically permissible maximum mass, field F2 contains the permissible maximum weight.
A transitional period of five years, i.e. until January 2029, applies to this regulation: motorhomes with a first registration before December 2023 but a technically permissible total mass of more than 3.5 tons and a declared total weight of less than 3.5 tons are exempt from the Go toll obligation.
