Campwerk: Tent trailers and roof tents "made in the Ruhr area"

If you're looking for practical, versatile tent setups, Campwerk might be just the place for you. The company, based in Mülheim an der Ruhr, has made it its mission to use every centimeter to offer spacious living space in compact packages.

 Campwerk's "specialty" is foldable tents that are easy to set up and take down again on a car roof or a trailer. This way, campers can transport their little home without lugging around too much extra weight and bulk.

Tent trailers

This trailer comes in two different versions: the Economy model offers a cozy 9 square meters of sleeping and living space, which can be doubled with an add-on tent. The Family model offers 11 or 23 square meters (including the add-on) — plenty of room for families, travel groups, or friends. Both models are available as on-road and off-road versions.

Even adventurers get tired sometimes. That's why the tent trailers come with an 8-centimeter-thick mattress. Panoramic windows give the "bedroom" a romantic 360-degree view. There's plenty of storage space under the bed for essentials like supplies or tools. The tent trailers can also be extended with a kitchen module, so you're always set up for proper meals on the road. Cyclists can have a drawbar adapter for their bike racks fitted, and for extra driving comfort and safety, an anti-sway coupling is installed.

According to the manufacturer, the tents can be set up in five to ten minutes — the Family by two people, and the Economy even by a single person.

Roof tents

If you're already towing a horse trailer, motorcycle, or boat on your tow bar (first-world problems, right?), you still don't have to go without a tent. For this exact case, Campwerk developed the Adventure roof tent, which can be mounted on a vehicle roof or a pickup truck bed. A ladder, included with the tent, gets you up to your cozy rooftop bedroom. These tents are now also available in different sizes (up to king size) and can be fitted with practical accessories.
