Jackery only just launched its new Plus v2 power stations with early-bird pricing — and already a much lesser-known manufacturer is following suit: Aferiy is offering its 2 kWh power station P280 bundled with a 400 W solar panel for €1,318 .On paper, that gets you more power and more solar capacity than the market leader. But who's actually behind Aferiy, and is the deal really as good as it looks? We took a closer look.

Who is Aferiy?
Don't worry if the name doesn't ring a bell — most people are in the same boat. Aferiy is a manufacturer from Shenzhen, China, that makes power stations, solar panels, and now also balcony solar systems and home storage batteries. According to a company profile, the brand belongs to Shenzhen Wodefeng Technology, founded in 2017. On the German market, Aferiy mainly sells through Amazon and its own shop, with a clear strategy: lots of power for comparatively little money.
That said, the brand isn't a complete unknown anymore. Aferiy had its own booth at Intersolar Munich in 2026, and trade publications like Notebookcheck, techtest.org, and Smartzone have tested several of its models. The verdicts are mostly positive: solid build quality, long-lasting LiFePO4 cells, and a strong price-to-performance ratio. The main criticism concerns the app — Notebookcheck couldn't even get the P280 running via the iOS app, though it worked fine with Android. Under full load, the P280 is also noticeably loud.
Our take
Aferiy is no longer a no-name budget brand, but it's not yet an established name like Jackery, EcoFlow, or Bluetti either. What's missing is long-term experience: nobody can seriously say yet how the devices hold up after five years or how well the service works if something goes wrong. On the plus side, Aferiy ships from a German warehouse and offers seven years of warranty after registration.

The deal: Aferiy P280 + 400 W solar panel for €1,318
The bundle includes the P280 power station with 2,048 Wh capacity and a foldable 400 W solar panel (S400A1). The manufacturer lists a comparison price of €1,968.
Honestly: The deal isn't quite as spectacular as it sounds. The P280 costs €889 on its own in the Aferiy shop, the panel €429 — together that's exactly €1,318. So there's no real bundle discount, and according to Notebookcheck, the P280 has mostly been priced under €900 in recent months anyway. Still, the price is very fair for what you get.

Aferiy P280 vs. Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus v2
The direct competitor from Jackery's current launch is the Explorer 2000 Plus v2, currently available at an early-bird price. Both compete in the 2 kWh class:
Aferiy P280 vs. Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus v2

| Kapazität | 2.048 Wh | 2.048 Wh |

| Preis mit 2 Panels | 1.659 € (2× 400 W) | 1.599 € (2× 200 W) |
On paper, Aferiy comes out ahead: more power, more solar input, and — at the same price — a panel with twice the capacity. Jackery, on the other hand, scores points with roughly 3 kg less weight, greater maximum expandability, and above all with experience, a dealer network, and proven service.
Our verdict
On paper, the Aferiy P280 offers more for your money than the new Jackery 2000 Plus v2 — especially when it comes to solar charging. The bundle with the 400 W panel is a fair deal, even if the advertised discount looks bigger than it actually is.
If you value an established brand and a lighter device, stick with Jackery. If you're looking for serious power for your motorhome and are willing to give a younger manufacturer a chance, Aferiy delivers a strong overall package — backed by a seven-year warranty for peace of mind.
