Tosbiq TK 240 (2027): Mini Caravan for 2 with Bathroom in Just 2.4 Meters

At the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf, we saw it for the first time: the Tosbiq TK 240. A cute retro caravan with rounded corners, just 388 centimeters long including the drawbar.

The living area measures 240 centimeters in length and 190 centimeters in width on the inside. Packed into that space: a wet room with toilet, a kitchen with a 90-liter fridge, a seating area for four, and a double bed. On top of that, you get a solar system, a diesel parking heater, and an awning.

So is this the smallest caravan in the world with a toilet and shower? Short answer: we don't know. There's no official ranking for mini caravans with a bathroom, and plenty of small manufacturers worldwide build trailers like this. Even Turkey has a rival that's (almost) just as short. More on that in a moment.

Still, we think what Tosbiq managed to fit into this footprint deserves recognition. And the shower? It's there. Where it's tucked away, you'll find out below.

Smallest in the world? The competition isn't sleeping!

Ankaravan from Akyurt near Ankara, whose Mini 270 we've already introduced you to, also has a caravan with a 240-centimeter body length plus toilet and shower in its lineup: the Micro 240. In Germany, it's sold by the Berlin-based dealer Anker Caravan. The specs are remarkably close:

On paper, the TK 240 is two centimeters shorter. That's practically a tie, since measurement methods can vary by a couple of centimeters depending on the manufacturer. When it comes to weight, though, Ankaravan takes the lead: the base version weighs 200 kilos less.

Who's behind Tosbiq?

Tosbiq Karavan is a Turkish manufacturer based in Erenler in Sakarya province, east of Istanbul. The company is a member of the Turkish Caravan Manufacturers and Suppliers Association (KAİTED).

In Germany, the Tosbiq models are sold by Wohnwagenpark Pinneberg near Hamburg. In the trade show brochure, it calls itself the "Europe distributor." Behind it stands Seta GmbH, which also runs the German website tosbiq.de. According to the commercial register, it was founded in late 2023. Its stated business purpose covers freight forwarding and transport as well as the purchase, sale, and rental of vehicles, caravans, and motorhomes. The dealer itself advertises more than ten years of experience and over 2,000 satisfied customers. So far, we haven't found a second official Tosbiq dealer in Germany.

And how long have Tosbiq caravans actually been around here? The importer doesn't give an exact start date. But the brand isn't brand new either: on the rental platform PaulCamper, a renter from Mönchengladbach offers two Tosbiq caravans first registered in 2022. Those are the oldest Tosbiqs we could track down in this country. The company behind today's distribution has existed since late 2023. So Tosbiq has been around here for a few years, but it's still (for now) a small player.

At the Caravan Salon 2026, Tosbiq showed its 2027 lineup in Hall 11. Alongside the TK 240, the range includes the TK 260, TK 280, TK 350, and TK 360. Prices range from €16,999 to €22,999.

The dimensions

The website and the trade show brochure differ slightly on a few figures. The website, for example, lists a height of 235 centimeters, a bed length of 195 centimeters, and up to three sleeping places. We've used the figures from the brochure here.

Is the Tosbiq TK 240 suitable for towing with an EV?

Yes, as long as your car is rated to tow enough. With a gross vehicle weight of 1,000 kilos and a braked axle, your tow vehicle needs a braked towing capacity of at least 1,000 kilos — ideally more, since having some reserve is always a good idea. The towing capacity (also called trailer load) is listed in your vehicle registration document under O.1.

Many electric SUVs and mid-range EVs can tow this much. Smaller EVs, though, often have a lower towing limit.

For these cases, there's the option of derating to 750 kilos — according to the dealer, at no extra cost. The catch: with 640 kilos of empty weight, that leaves just 110 kilos of payload. Pretty tight for two or even three travelers.

Also check your driving license. With a Class B license, you're only allowed to tow a trailer over 750 kilos if the car and trailer together don't exceed 3,500 kilos of combined permissible weight. With the TK 240 at 1,000 kilos, that leaves your car a maximum of 2,500 kilos of permissible weight. Many electric SUVs are heavier than that. In that case, you'll need a B96 or BE license, or you'll have to get the caravan derated to 750 kilos. So the promise of "no trailer license needed" doesn't apply to every tow setup.

The bathroom: toilet inside, shower better off outside

Now for the most important question. Yes, the TK 240 has its own bathroom. The wet cell sits in one corner and includes a portable toilet, a mini washbasin with a pull-out tap for showering, a cabinet underneath, a curtain, and a small window (20 × 40 cm).

For a quick rinse-off in between, that's plenty — as long as you're not too broad-shouldered. For a proper shower, you'll want to head outside or to the campsite's sanitary building.

For a caravan this length, that kind of setup is a real achievement — I noted the same thing about the Ankaravan. Many mini caravans this size are pure sleeping pods, nothing more.

Living and sleeping: the seating area turns into a double bed

At the rear, two bench seats face each other with a table in between. According to the manufacturer, up to four people can sit here. In the evening, you convert the seating area into a double bed measuring 130 × 191 centimeters. That works for two adults, though it's not spacious. If you're used to a bed at home or in a larger caravan, you're probably used to at least 140 to 160 cm of width.

Three windows with blinds and fly screens bring light into the seating area. The windows are double-glazed, and there's also a roof hatch with insect protection and blackout. The furniture is made of coated marine plywood in a light oak tone, the walls are wallpapered, and the ceiling is covered in fabric. According to the dealer, you can choose your upholstery color and exterior paint in any RAL color at no extra cost. So the retro look isn't mandatory.

Standing height is 183 centimeters. If you're taller, you'll have to duck permanently. A 2 kW diesel parking heater takes the edge off cold nights, and there's an additional electric heater for use on campsite power.

Kitchen and technology: no gas on board

The kitchen is built in at the front: a worktop with a sink and faucet, a 12-volt fridge with 90 liters of capacity, and an induction hob. Alternatively, you can get a portable gas canister stove. There's no fixed gas installation, which means you skip the gas inspection too.

One thing to know about the induction hob: it needs 230 volts. The equipment list doesn't mention an inverter, so induction cooking only works when you're hooked up to campsite power. If you often camp off-grid, go with the canister stove instead.

Power comes from a 205-watt solar panel with an MPPT controller and a 100 Ah gel battery. At the campsite, a 20-amp charger tops it up via the 230-volt external connection. Inside, you'll find 230-volt sockets, USB ports, and a 12-volt socket, plus LED lighting inside and out. You shouldn't discharge a gel battery much past the halfway mark, so you've got around 50 Ah of usable capacity.

Water comes from a 40-liter tank with a lockable filler neck, and a 12-volt pump builds up the pressure. The equipment list doesn't mention a wastewater tank, so I'd guess a wastewater canister is included instead.

The price: what does the Tosbiq TK 240 cost?

The list price is 16,999 euros. The show brochure listed a promotional price of 16,499 euros. Whether and how long that still applies after the Caravan Salon is best checked directly with the dealer.

We didn't find equipment packages like Ankaravan offers at Tosbiq. Solar system, parking heater, fridge, awning, braked AL-KO axle, and outdoor shower are all included in the base price. According to the dealer, derating to 750 kilos, your choice of RAL color, and your choice of upholstery color come at no extra cost. An anti-snaking hitch is available as an option. The dealer offers financing (including with no down payment), trade-ins, and delivery throughout Germany and the EU.

That makes the TK 240 pricier than the base Ankaravan Micro 240, which starts at 10,000 euros. The higher Micro packages (Voll, Premium, Ultra) cost 14,000 to 16,000 euros, putting them in a similar price range.

What to watch out for when buying

• Recalculate the weight: at 750 kilos, you're left with 110 kilos of payload. Luggage, dishes, and supplies for 2 to 3 people add up fast. → Ask for the actual weighed empty weight of your specific unit.

• Check the paperwork:We couldn't find any info on the COC document (proof of EU type approval) on the website. → Ask to see it before buying. Without a COC, the vehicle needs an individual inspection at TÜV or DEKRA. Also ask about the registration for 100 km/h.

• Plan for servicing:The official dealer is based in Pinneberg near Hamburg. They offer a workshop, spare parts, and two years of manufacturer warranty. → If you live in southern Germany, you should find out where warranty work and repairs can be done.

• Wood in the build:The frame is made of poplar marine plywood and heat-treated wood, insulated with styrofoam. If water gets in, the wood suffers. → Ask whether there's a watertightness warranty.

• Plan your off-grid capability realistically:Induction hob only works on mains hookup, roughly 50 Ah of usable battery, no wastewater tank listed. → Find out before buying where the wastewater goes.

Bottom line: Who is the Tosbiq TK 240 worth it for?

The TK 240 is a caravan for couples, families with a baby or toddler, and solo travelers who take short trips, like small pitches, and don't want to walk across the site to the toilet at night. For three weeks in southern France as a couple, it gets tight: a 130 cm wide bed, 40 liters of water, and limited payload depending on the weight rating. At around 240 cm in height, it won't fit in a standard garage either.

If you drive an EV with at least 1,000 kg towing capacity and pay close attention to your driving license category, this is one of the shortest caravans with a bathroom you can buy, at least in Germany.

We can't say for sure whether the TK 240 is the smallest caravan in the world with a toilet and shower. Still, it's impressive: fitting this much equipment into 240 centimeters is no small feat.
