The Malibu Genius 641 LE is one of the most outstanding new products at the Caravan Salon 2024. Malibu presented the innovative Sprinter-based camper in two versions: one as a classic trekking version in white and black in off-road trim with all-terrain tires and LED light strips above the windscreen.
The innovative rear extension, which bases the vehicle on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, is particularly noteworthy. The Malibu Genius 641 LE is aimed at couples and long-term travelers who value comfort and flexibility.
Special features
The heart of the new Malibu Genius is the GRP rear extension, which transforms a 6-metre-long Sprinter into a 6.41-metre-long motorhome. The extension dispenses with hinged doors and instead offers a large tailgate that conceals up to 1400 liters of storage space.
Two versions of this extension can be seen at the Caravan Salon: One with a pull-out for bicycles and another with large storage boxes, also on a pull-out.
The single beds above the garage end at a rear wall in which a central window is integrated. The extension creates a compact motorhome that is positioned between a panel van and a semi-integrated vehicle.
Another important innovation is the bathroom. For showering, the toilet is pushed under the seating area and the washbasin is folded away. The shower tray protrudes into the passageway and is closed off with a fan wall, creating a spacious shower.
The door can also be opened up to the kitchen block, creating a changing room according to Malibu. This feature may seem a little exaggerated, as the kitchen block does not have a completely separating wall.

The Malibu Genius 641 LE model is a panel van based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 315 CDI as standard. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine with an output of 110 kW (150 hp).
With a length of 6.41, it offers a compact design. The dimensions are 2.02 m wide and 2.68 m high. The wheelbase is 3.66 m and the gross vehicle weight rating is 3.5 t. The 419 CDI chassis variant with a gross vehicle weight rating of 4.1 t is also available as an option.

The living area of the Malibu Genius 641 LE is cleverly designed and uses high-quality materials. The sleeping area is located at the rear of the vehicle and offers a sleeping area of up to two meters in length. The living area is centrally located and equipped with a comfortable seating area.
