Dethleffs is increasingly designing its motorhomes for niche trends. After the Globetrail formed the basis for the Dethleffs Hero art project, the Dethleffs Globebus Performance 4x4 will be the first all-wheel drive motorhome from Dethleffs in model year 2025. This is based on the semi-integrated Globebus, which combines the necessary agility with living comfort thanks to its compact dimensions.
The Dethleffs Globebus Performance 4x4 is specially designed for adventurous off-road trips. The innovative design primarily appeals to camper couples who want to travel off the beaten track and value an accessible travel experience.
Technical data
The Globebus Performance 4x4 is a semi-integrated off-roader based on the VW Crafter with a 163 hp (120 kW) engine, differential lock, 8-speed automatic transmission, lift and a front axle reinforced to 2,100 kilograms.
The all-wheel drive motorhome is therefore equipped with the necessary robustness and suitability for rough roads to make effortless progress off the beaten track. The air-sprung rear axle ensures a high level of driving comfort at all times.
The vehicle measures 6.85 m in length, 2.2 m in width and 2.88 m in height. The permissible total weight is 3,880 kg. The sleeping and seating areas are designed for two people.
Interior and equipment
The Globebus Performance 4x4 is designed so that it can also be used away from the usual infrastructure. Particular emphasis was placed on making the vehicle largely independent of gas as an energy source. The vehicle has a diesel heating system that heats the living area and provides hot water.
The 131-liter compressor refrigerator works electrically and is therefore also gas-independent.
Only the two-burner hob is gas-powered and uses a 2.8 kg gas cylinder, which is housed in the kitchen base unit to save space.
An AGM battery and six lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 263 Ah are installed for the power supply. These enable lighting and electrical devices to be used for several days.
The Clesana C1 dry toilet and Grünbeck's integrated water filter system, which ensures a reliable supply of clean drinking water regardless of location, also contribute to self-sufficient use.
Inside, the Globebus Performance 4x4 impresses with a well-designed living area that uses high-quality materials.
We sleep on two single beds arranged in the rear of the motorhome.
The living area is centrally located and offers well thought-out equipment for comfort during the journey. The seating area is located at the front of the vehicle, directly behind the driver's cab.
Stable and fast Internet access is a natural part of everyday life for many people today - even when on the road. To meet this requirement, the Globebus Performance 4x4 is equipped with the powerful G5 Internet system Camper Net. It enables a reliable connection almost everywhere.
With a data transfer rate of up to 20 gigabits per second, Camper Net offers a powerful internet connection - suitable for streaming, online gaming or professional applications. The system can also amplify existing Wi-Fi signals at the pitch to further improve connectivity.
Storage space
Both interior and exterior storage space is available for luggage and camping equipment. The Globebus Performance 4x4 has innovative storage solutions such as variable compartments and hidden shelves to make maximum use of the available space. Airline rails are attached to the outer wall to which outdoor accessories can be attached.
The absence of larger gas cylinders and a separate gas locker creates additional storage space in the rear area.
Exterior
The exterior appearance is also characterized by power and robustness. Thanks to its eye-catching paint finish in Indium Grey Metallic and the high-quality stickers in the same color - adorned with the striking red Dethleffs logo - the Globebus Performance 4x4 clearly stands out from the crowd of motorhomes.
Its robust off-road look is underlined by numerous special equipment details: 18-inch off-road tires on matt black rims, a black front bar, an LED light bar and matt black aprons, awning, ladder and roof rails give the all-wheel drive motorhome its powerful look.
Price and availability
The market launch price for the First Edition starts at EUR 119,999.00. The model presented at CMT 2025 costs just under EUR 123,000.00 with optional extras. The vehicle is now available to order.
