Megasat, a leading European manufacturer of satellite technology and consumer electronics, presented its most exciting innovations at this year’s Caravan Salon 2024 as Megasat product innovations for the mobile leisure industry.
With a wide range of products specially developed for use in motorhomes and caravans, Megasat continues to rely on state-of-the-art technologies to make traveling even more comfortable and entertaining. Among the highlights of Megasat’s new products were the mobile satellite antenna Megasat Campingman Portable 4, the WiFi booster Camper Connected and the Bluetooth headphones MEG-BH01.
Megasat Campingman Portable 4
The Megasat Campingman Portable 4 will be launched in 2025 and, compared to its predecessor model, has a coverage area as far as southern Spain and Portugal – a range that is absolutely unique for this size.
The fully automatic and mobile satellite antenna has an auto-skew function that enables the correct polarization setting of the LNB and thus ensures the best reception throughout Europe.
The Megasat Campingman Portable 4 antenna also has a twin connection for connecting a second receiver and comes with a smart control unit with a free app for firmware updates and changing satellites.
Setting up the mobile satellite antenna is child’s play thanks to its compact design: simply position the antenna with a clear view of the satellite, connect the coaxial cable – and you’re done. At the touch of a button, the antenna automatically finds the desired satellite.
The antenna, which weighs 5.12 kg and has a mirror diameter of 38 cm, is optimally protected against external damage and weather influences by an elegant plastic cover.
Megasat Camper Connected WiFi booster
The Camper Connected WiFi booster maximizes the performance of the Wi-Fi signal from outside and ensures interference-free internet reception by amplifying the radio signal inside the vehicle.
The simple and flexible installation allows both mobile and fixed installation. The outdoor unit is simply connected to the indoor unit via a network cable, allowing distances of up to 60 m to be bridged.
The powerful outdoor WiFi antenna (dual band for 2.4 and 5.8 GHz) and an equally powerful WiFi router (2.4 / 5.8 GHz WLAN) amplify the performance of the mobile phone signal – 4G or WiFi from the hotspot on the campsite – to a maximum and thus ensure brilliant Internet reception.
The system deliberately relies on 4G: LTE and mobile radio were deliberately left out, as this allows a lower price for the Camper Connected WiFi booster.
Megasat Bluetooth headphones MEG-BH01
The Megasat MEG-BH01 Wireless BT Headphones Over-Ear Bluetooth are closed headphones with a powerful sound and can be connected to all devices that have a Bluetooth function. No more annoying tangled cables!
The Bluetooth headphones boast a long battery life of up to 40 hours, with up to 1,000 hours in standby mode. They also impress with a long range of up to 20 meters: Perfect for in the camper when one person is asleep and the other wants to watch TV or listen to music, for example.
Wearing comfort is also outstanding. The perfect fit is ensured by movable ear cups. A connection to a device with a 3.5 mm jack plug can also be established as an option.
