Sustainable travel and camping: Iridium presented the first all-electric campervan that is ready for series production at CMT 2025. The Iridium e-V25 is based on the Ford Transit, which is currently still the only panel van capable of delivering the power required to operate an e-camper.
Following the launch of the first generation in 2019, which was considered a pioneering achievement in the electric motorhome segment, the new Generation 2 takes the electric concept to a new level. With state-of-the-art technology, impressive performance and a focus on eco-friendliness, the Iridium e-V25 is the perfect vehicle for travelers who want to combine comfort and sustainability.

Technical data
The Iridium e-V25 (2025) is based on a Ford Transit with an H3 roof, which enables a comfortable headroom of over two meters. The panel van itself is just under 6 m long, 2.05 m wide and 2.89 m high. The Iridium e-V25 (2025) has two sleeping berths and two registered seats.
The permissible total weight of 3.5 tons offers a payload of around 200 kilograms. The electric motor with rear-wheel drive delivers 184 hp in the basic version, with 269 hp available as an option. According to the manufacturer, the official range is up to 317 km, taking into account the recovery through maximum recuperation. In practice, according to the consultant at the CTM Stuttgart, it is around 250 km, with a charging time of around 35 minutes in the window between 20 and 80%.
The electric chassis was developed entirely by Ford and features the so-called single pedal mode “L”. This is an innovative function that significantly increases the energy efficiency of the vehicle. When this mode is activated, the braking effect of the electric motor is increased, which slows down the rotation of the rear wheels. This deceleration generates energy that is used directly to charge the high-voltage battery.
According to the manufacturer, this system works particularly efficiently in situations in which the vehicle is slowed down or braked lightly – for example in city traffic or when driving downhill. This not only increases the vehicle’s range, but also reduces wear and tear on the mechanical brakes. The mode offers a comfortable driving experience, as acceleration and deceleration can be controlled with a single pedal, making operation intuitive and energy-saving.
The single pedal mode “L” ensures optimum use of the battery, an improved range and a relaxed and modern driving experience at the same time. In addition, the Iridium e-V25 (2025) offers the driving modes “Normal” for everyday use, “Eco” for energy-efficient driving for longer ranges and “Slippery” with optimization for poor road conditions with adapted throttle response and steering sensitivity.
The camper doesn’t have to compromise on safety either. The vehicle is equipped with driver and front passenger airbags, electronic stability control (ESP) and load adaptive control (LAC). The equipment also includes Hill Start Assist (HLA) and Crosswind Assist, Pre-Collision Assist and Autonomous Brake Assist.
The all-electric Ford Transit is also equipped with an adaptive cruise control system, front and rear parking sensors with parking assistant as well as electrically heated exterior mirrors with blind spot and tire pressure sensors.
Interior
While the chassis offers the latest electric technology from Ford, the interior is fitted out by Iridium. The interior focuses on a combination of elegant homeliness and high functionality. Black is the predominant color, which gives the Iridium e-V25 (2025) a decidedly aesthetic, business-suited ambience inside.
Intelligent solutions such as the multifunctional lounge in the living area enable comfortable travel. The face-to-face seating area can be converted into a double lengthways bed with a generous sleeping area of 190 x 120 cm for the night.

The kitchen block is partly located in the side door, with the work surface being extended to the end of the vehicle in a kind of sideboard. The fresh water tank under the sink is also installed in the kitchen block. It contains supply technology such as the Fiamma pump. As the Iridium e-V25 is naturally gas-free, cooking is done on an induction ceramic hob.

In addition to the table in the rear, the Iridium e-V25 has a second table. This can be inserted into the floor at the turned driver’s seats. The box (passenger side) contains the electric Truma boiler, the water pump and, on request, a Carawater water filter system.

The bathroom is quite spacious. The Thetford toilet is pushed under the washbasin for showering.

The Iridium e-V25 is heated with an infrared heater. The panel heater has an output of 2,000 watts and three power levels.

Technology and equipment
The all-electric Iridium e-V25 is equipped with the Multimedia Center with SYNC4 and a 12″ multifunction LCD touchscreen display. The scope of delivery also includes a DAB/ AM/FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto/ Apple Car Play connectivity and voice control.
The Iridium e-V25 is started keylessly. The Ford e-Transit has digital air conditioning and an on-board computer with a 4″ TFT screen.
The fresh water tank has a capacity of 70 liters and is located in the lower part of the rear housing. The waste water tank under the chassis holds 80 liters.
The basic equipment includes a 100 Ah lithium battery. An inverter from 12 V to 220 V with 2,000 W output, various solar modules and 2 x 150 Ah lithium batteries in parallel connection or 2 x 300 Ah lithium batteries in parallel connection are optional, whereby the payload must be taken into account here.
Storage space
The vehicle offers ample storage space both inside and out, with lockers, an additional garage compartment and optional bicycle carrier solutions.
Exterior
On the outside, the Iridium e-V25 has a powerful and dynamic appearance. Matt black foiling with a carbon look is optional. The Iridium radiator grille and the front door spoiler in black are also available at extra cost.

Aluminum rims in black (16-inch) or aluminum rims in silver/black (20-inch) are also available as options at extra cost.

Price and availability
The Iridium e-V25 has a base price of EUR 129,900.00. The vehicle can currently be reserved via the manufacturer’s website.
Conclusion and evaluation
The new Iridium e-V25 is a versatile and top-equipped van based on an electric chassis developed by Ford. While the chassis offers the latest electric technology, the interior is built by Iridium’s experienced team. This makes it possible to offer a technically mature vehicle at an attractive price.
The all-electric Iridium e-V25 is consistently aimed at two environmentally conscious campers who can travel emission-free with the vehicle. The efficient interior design also allows the vehicle to be used as a mobile office. With a range of up to 317 kilometers, the Iridium e-V25 is ideal for day and weekend trips.
