Fast Internet, a solid desk, an ergonomic office chair – what you would otherwise only know from your own home office could now also fulfill the dream of mobile working for caravan fans. With its “adfendture” study, Mertingen-based caravan builder Fendt-Caravan will be presenting a completely new and well thought-out concept at Caravan Salon 2023 for anyone who likes to do their job with a view of the countryside. To be more precise, there are actually two concepts, each of which is tailored precisely to the needs of the respective user group.
Mobile Road Office for Digital Nomads
The “B2C” version of the adfendture caravan is perfect for bloggers, YouTubers and anyone who wants to get their online work done on the go: Answer emails, hold video conferences, edit videos, record podcasts, upload photos and texts, do accounting and much more.

As a basis for the “Connect” variant, Fendt has taken the Apero 495 SFB model, which is also still brand new, whose round seating group has been converted and replaced on one side by a fold-down desk from the Beaktor company.
This table impresses not only with its sturdy construction, but also with the hidden electrics, which include modular customizable lighting and ensure the supply of terminal devices such as laptop and smartphone. The new 5G router with external antenna from Antretter & Huber provides the corresponding stable Internet connection.
The necessary energy is provided by the EcoFlow Delta Pro as well as the mobile River 2, which keep all consumers running for about 3-5 days – if they are recharged in between by a ride or the mobile 160-watt solar panel, of course, correspondingly longer. As an ergonomic desk stool, the Aeris Swopper keeps the back fit even during extended work sessions, the adjustable 15-inch Espresso display is easy on the eyes and back, and the Gustav Organizer keeps the workplace nice and tidy.
When visitors arrive, two comfortable Sedus folding stools are available and disappear into a storage space when not in use.
The rolling living and working space is rounded off by a drone for photographers and videographers, a podcast mike, a portable water purifier from the Mitte company with filter and bubble function, and a wide range of products from the popular Silwy magnet series (tableware and organizers).
Mobile conference room for business people and companies
The B2B solution “Work” offers high-quality multimedia components for video conferences, meetings, job interviews, out-of-town customer appointments and many other uses at companies and other commercial users. Such a vehicle could even be used by public authorities as a mobile crisis center, for example.
As a basis, the Tendenza 650 SFD was used and rebuilt. Instead of the fixed bed, there is now a 75-inch interactive touch display from Webex/Cisco. This not only serves as a screen for video conferences or presentations, but can also be used as a whiteboard during meetings. It is compatible with all popular platforms such as Google, Zoom or Microsoft. Opposite, a small table with seating has been added, where you can work with laptop & co. From the tablet or computer, content can be transferred to the display via cable or wirelessly.
The comfortable round seating group in the rear creates a relaxed atmosphere for customer meetings or team meetings. From here, the view falls on another small screen attached to the doorway with an articulated arm, as well as a large, transparent OLED display in front of the rear window. If required, a folding sliding door separates the two “meeting rooms”. And if sleeping accommodation is ever needed, the round seating group can be converted into a bed as in the standard vehicle.
The “Work” caravan is powered by two powerful 5kWh batteries from EcoFlow connected to the Power Kit, a smart battery management system that can be controlled via app.
In addition, this model has also been equipped with Silwy tableware and organizers, as well as the pinnns organization system, to make the work experience as pleasant as possible.
When will the two office caravans be available for purchase?
At the moment, the two models are a study. But Thomas Kamm, marketing manager at Fendt-Caravan, is optimistic that the concepts could actually go into series production:
“The feedback we have received so far at the Caravan Salon shows that mobile working is becoming increasingly popular and that we have hit an absolute nerve with both variants. We would like to show with our conversions first of all, what is possible in a caravan in this regard.
Based on feedback at and after the trade show, we will evaluate how high the actual buying interest is and which components are particularly relevant for potential customers. If we find that the market is ready for such novel work-life concepts, we’ll be excited to go into production in the next few years.”
