The Deddle RV Youfo is one of the latest models presented by the renowned manufacturer Deddle RV at the Caravan Salon 2024.

The Youfo model is an alcove motorhome and is based on the IVECO New Daily. It measures 5.995 m in length, 2.525 m in width and 3.18 m in height and has a wheelbase of 3.45 m.
The vehicle is equipped with 4×2 drive and air suspension on the rear axle, which contributes to a comfortable ride. The engine has a maximum output of 129 kW (176 hp) with a displacement of 2998 cc. The permissible total weight is 4.25 tons. The motorhome offers space for four passengers.

How it all began
Three different Chinese alcove motorhomes from Deddle RV were presented for the first time at the Caravan Salon 2023. These motorhomes were manufactured in Wuzhen, in eastern China, and brought to Düsseldorf on a remarkable journey. Four mobile homes and a service van with a total crew of 13 people were on the road for 45 days to reach the trade fair.
During their journey, which took them from China to Düsseldorf, the motorhomes underwent extensive testing. They proved themselves under extreme conditions, including camping at an altitude of 4,500 m in Tibet and temperatures of up to -40 °C in Kazan. The vehicles are equipped with high-performance insulation and stood up well to the extreme climatic conditions.
Equipment
The water tanks of the motorhomes had space for 400 liters of water, and each vehicle was equipped with a lithium battery with 1,680 Ah, which is designed for 48 V and can be charged quickly. In addition, 1,450 W solar panels supported the battery charging process. All motorhomes had air conditioning on board, which was powered by the battery.
The vehicles were based on the Iveco Daily and had a length of 5.99 m, as a truck driver’s license is required in China for vehicles over 6 m in length. The height was 3.2 m, as bridges and tunnels are 3.5 m high. The total weight was 4.5 tons. This was due to the aluminum structure over the entire body as well as the double insulation.
Availability in Germany
According to the statements made at the stand at the Caravan Salon 2023, the motorhomes were to be launched on the market in 2024 for a price of between €60,000 and €80,000. One of the reasons given for the low price was that working conditions are different in China.
The sales launch in 2024 seemed very ambitious, especially in view of the regulations and standards in Germany. Likewise, vehicles over 3.5 t in Germany require at least a C1 driving license and the B driving license, which covers up to 3.5 t, is not sufficient.
