At the last Caravan Salon, Italian camping vehicle manufacturer Laika presented their new fully integrated luxury motorhome based on Fiat Ducato: Laika Kreos H 5109. The front is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) and is mounted on a self-supporting structure consisting of several aluminum layers and an XPS core. This construction is additionally covered with fabric inside, which provides not only maximum stability, but also outstanding thermal insulation. In the area above the windshield, there is another insulating panel that eliminates cold bridges.
The large panoramic windshield provides excellent all-round visibility. It has specially designed wipers for clear vision in various weather conditions. The reduced A-pillars help minimize blind spots and increase driving safety. A multi-layered aluminum/EPS/aluminum panel separates the engine hood from the driver’s cabin, resulting in a significant reduction in engine noise that can be perceived in the passenger compartment.

Sleeping and living
One of the most remarkable innovations of the Laika Kreos H 5109 is found in the redesigned driver’s cabin, which offers not only an attractive but also an extremely ergonomic appearance. The trim on the dashboard, driver’s door and side panels is made of soft-touch plastic and is decorated with faux leather elements, with visible stitching for an elegant look.
Two tablet holders in the cabin allow mobile devices to be used while driving and charge via dedicated USB sockets. Getting in and out is made easier thanks to the wider driver’s door, which also has a storage compartment and bottle holders. The passenger door is also equipped with these practical features. Power windows and central locking with remote control round off the comfort in the driver’s cab.

There are a total of four belt-secured seats, two of which are in the seating group with a large round table. In addition, a 1.17 m long bench is available as a further seating option.
The kitchen of the Laika Kreos H 5109 is equipped with all the amenities needed on the road. These include a gas stove, an impressive 153-liter refrigerator with AES system, a 3-burner cooktop and a generous double sink with multifunctional sink cover. Otherwise, Laika offers optional upgrades for the kitchen, including a dishwasher, gas oven, microwave and coffee maker.

In the rear of the Laika Kreos H 5109 there are two single beds, each measuring 0.8m x 1.95m. For an additional charge, these can be converted into a double bed. These beds are not only comfortable, but also thoughtfully designed. They have adjustable headboards and a springy base that allow for a restful night’s sleep.
The electric lift bed, fully integrated into the ceiling, offers a generous sleeping area of 195×140 cm. Here, the Froli slat base in combination with a foam mattress ensures peaceful and restful dreams. Additionally, there are two padded headboards with built-in storage and adjustable LED spotlights with USB outlets to power and charge mobile devices.
